would hold office for a one year term tin-
til August 25j 1963. At that time, a
meeting would be held for the election of
new officers. The officers were empowered
to incorporate the Association, with the
legal aid of an attorney, and to carry out
any business which might arise according to
the Charter and By-Laws. The Chairman in
structed James F. Cox, Attorney, to
proceed as rapidly as possible in forming
the Corporation.
A committee was then appointed bytthe
Chairman to cariy out the planning and de
tails in the construction of the dam. This
committee is composed of T. L. Mack, Willis
Miller, and R. F. Williamson.
It was also announced that it was
the hope of the committee that construction
would begin on the dam at the end of this
week or as soon as the contractor could
begin this job.
The Association would like to thank
all officers and individuals who have work
ed so diligently to mass enough money to
enable the Association to have the con-
staruction to begin at the earliest possible
date. It is also the id.sh of the Associa
tion to thank the general public and mer
chants, as well as the Town Of Highlands,
for their generous contributions and co
operation. It is to be pointed out that^
the Association stiH needs more money to
conqplete this worthwhile project at the
earliest possible date. It is the sincere
desire of the Association that Highlands &
svirrounding Communities shall not be depri
