The Auxiliary wishes to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to all those who donated goods and helped with the Sales* Particular thanks goes to Chef Ray Mori- sette of the Sapphire Valley Inn for his many generous donations* JOINT MEETING OF PRES^-^ERIAN SESSION MD DIACONATE... A joint meeting of the Session and the Board of Deacons of the First Presby terian Church of Highlands is set for Thursday, September 6th, at 7:30 P.M* Mr, Sideny McCarty, Clerk of the Session, has announced that the Deacons have been invited to share this regularly scheduled meeting of the Ruling Elders* A CIVIC CONCERN Save That WaterHI The Town has requested that everyone be as sparing as possible with the town water, as the reserve is very low* Until more rain comes, water so\3rce is scarce, so please, remember to be conservative I A civic concern, the formation of a Humane Society for the Highlands area, is under way. The chief purpose of form ing this Society is for the establishment of an animal shelter for lost or wander ing animals in this area* A meeting for the purpose of dis cussing the animal problon and for elec tion of officers to the ^ciety will be held Monday evening, September 10 at 8:00 in the Satulah Club Room of the Hud^ son Library. All those who are interested in seeking a solution to the problem of wandering animals are urged to attend this in5)ortant meeting. EARLY SERVICE AT PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH DISCONTINUES SEPT» 2nD The 9:00 early morning worship ser vice at the First Presbyterian Church will be discontinued with the service of Sept* 2nd. This sejTvice had a highly gratify ing response this summer. The average attendance over the first nine Sundays has been 6? or more persons. Many of them expressed their appreciation for the con venience of the 9s00 service. There have also been many words of commendation for the special music arrangements l^y associ ate organist, Mrs. Donald P, MacGregor, who has been in charge of the music for the 9:00 service throughout the summer.
