Highlands Biological Station, will give
the first of evening lectures scheduled
ay the Miseimi of Natural History on Jime
27. The formal title of the lecture is
the fungal parasites of insects. A less

The lecture is scheduled for SsOO pm,
June 27, in the Museum of Natural History
Building.
The subject of Dr. Shanor*s lecture
represents an area of research interest
first pursued while he was a graduate
student at the University of North Caro
lina where he studied with the late Pro
fessor W* C. Coker and Professor John N.
Couch8 Dr. Shanor and his own graduate
students have investigated a number of

Tryouts for the first Highlands Com
munity Ilaeatre production will'be held
Friday, June 21 at 8:00. The first pro
duction will be ’-Everybody Loves Opal"

represented at the local theatre by many
outstanding productions in the last few
seasons* The two latest productions were
“Hasty Heart,” presented during the I960
season, and the highly successful and en
joyable “Teahouse of the August Moon,"
of last year.
