The land is now grovm but is yet in
its youth and Summer appears in all its
Fplendor# The Child Spring has grown and
matiored, reaping fruitful and sweet days*
The tall mountains stand as guardian and
bear on their backs the gifts of Nature,
for fruits and berries are found in abm>»

The trees which some time before dis
played little green leaves, now flourxjiih
in a glorious robe of summer green. The
warm summer air caresses the trees, touch
ing each leaf with its gentle breath® If
you listened in the quietness of a forest
grove, you, too, can hear the Tree Lullaby^
sweetly whispering the same song that has
been sung from the beginning of Time* To

A Food Sale Saturday
The Hospital Auxiliary is holding a
FOOD SALE this Saturday, July 13 at 9*30
in the little building aci*oss the street
from the Condiment Shop. Among the items
to be sold idll be homemade bread, rolls,
banana nut bread, cakes, and cookies of all
kinds, different salads, pies, and casser
ole dishes. Come by and purcliase some of
these delicious homemade goods for the
special week-end “doings,” or for just
plain good eating*

Interested in precious, semi-pre-
cious and just lovely to look at cut stonesi
There are some beautiful ones in the cases
begin ass^bled for the Hudson library to
give away on August 31st. These are all
stones from this part of the country and
include rubies, kyanite, beryl, sapphires,
garnets, emeralds, amethysts, epidote and
and smoky quartz. All are gifts to the
Hudson Library# The stones are in three
cases*».case 1, case 2 and case 3* For
display purposes these three cases have
been put into one large case* Cn August
31st, there will be three consecutive
drawings of the numbered donation-cards
for cases 1, 2, and 3 in order given*
