DR. TRUSSELL TO LEGTURE
Wet»pine-barrens of the sout^ast will
be the subject of the illustrated lecture
by Dr» Malvina Trussell tonight, August 8,
at 8;00f at the Museum of Natural History.
The plants of the wet-pine-barrens
are sometimes called bog plants* Dr*
Trussell has been a student of the bog
plants for many years* Her illustrated
lecture will present the physical charac
teristics of bogs and the plants usually
found in bogs of selected areas of the
southeast* Dr* Trussell*s home is near
the Horse Cove bog owned by Mrs* lis C#
Howe, and which has attracted botanists
for many years*
Dr* Trussell is professor of science
education, Florida State University and
