The show, to be held in the old Highlander Restaurant (next to the Post Office), will be open for pub lic viewing from IOjOO a«m. to 9s00 p.m* on Friday and Saturday, and from 1:00 p.m. to 4t00 p.m* on Sunday. The Art Show is to benefit the Hudson Libraj^ and a small admission price of 500 (children under tvxelve years of age admit ted free) per person will be chargede Artists in and around a twenty-five mile radius of Highlands will enter works in the following categories s oil painting, watercolors, mixed media, graphics, sculp ture, and cerandcs. FESTIVAL WEEK IS PLANNED BY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE The Highlands Chamber of Commerce is planning a “Festival Week” which will be August 17th through the 22nd. Plans for this week include the appearance of the Brevard Music Center Symphony (under the auspices of the Cham^ber of Commerce. Dr. James Christian Pfohl will conduct and guest artists will be Jeanette Pecorello, Eugen Talley—Sohmidt and Edward Vito. As yet, Tuesday evening is ‘‘open, with noth ing scheduled# However, it is hoped that there will be something scheduled for this date. On Wednesday evening there will be a square dance at Helenas Barn» Thursday night will be the Square Dance Festival, with several dance teams appearing and $500 in door prizes to be given away# Fri day night the Highlands Community Theatre will have it's “Hootenanny ^64” and on Saturday TV's Arthur Smith and his Crack er jacks will appear at the school gym. WORLD PREMIERE OF BACHELOR FURNISHED OPENS TO CAPACITY CROWD ON TUESDAY The world premiere of “Bachelor Fur nished, ” three plays hy James Bridges, with Hollywood cast Collin Wilcox, Geoffrey Horne, and Ralph VJilliams opened at the Highlands Community Theatre Tuesday with a capacity crowd. “Bachelor Furnished” is three one- act comedies, with the (C0N*D ON PAGE 20) 13th year of publication
