Bryant Funeral Home of Franklin was in charge of arrangements. METHODIST NEWS The discussion hour held at ?s30 on Thursday evenings, will meet this Thursday in the church parlor* The topic for dis cussion will be “Morality in America,” at the Story Hour at the Hudson Library on Thursday morning, August 12th, The Forest Ranger, Mr, Bob Padgett, and his bear will be there to make the awards. All children aged 5 through 11 years are invited to this special Story Hour to meet the Ranger and his bear. WORSHIP THROUGH MUSIC Participants in the afternoon wor ship service at the Methodist Church will present a special hour of worship through music on August 151 at 5 P»ni» at the Highlands Methodist Church, This service of music has been a tradition in High lands for many years though the program was not held last year. The Commission on Stewardship and Finance will meet Wednesday evening at 7s30 in the church parlor, A film strip on the work of the commission will be shown and plans will be drawn for the year, Sunday services at the Methodist Church are at 10, Church School; 11, Morn ing Worship; and 7t Community Youth Pro gram, SMOKEY BEAR TO VISIT STORY HOUR AT HUDSON LIBRARY Members of the Smokey Bear Story Hour who have cou^leted their handbooks, color page, leaf identification, and the ABC of Smokey Bear, will be awarded their badges group singing, solos, and an interpreta tive reading. The public is invited to attend. HOME TOUR Those going on this week’s Episcopal Home Tours will visit the homes of Mrs, Anne Tait at the Ravenel Place on Sunsetj the home of Dr, and Mrs, Ralph Sar- gent where you will enjoy V' a nature walk through the arboretum; Mrs, Fred Gould’s home on the Country Club; and the Satulah Mountain home of Mr, and Mrs, Lamar Sledge, where refreshments will be served.
