Proof of the equine pud ding is offered in Walt Disney* s Technicol or featurette, "The Horse With The Flying Tail," A proud, spirited golden palomino named Nautical is the subject of the Disney film, and his true story, reflecting the peaks and the valleys of his life, adds up to top-notch entertainment* Nautical*s experiences run the gamut from happy-go-lucky days as a yearling in New Mexico to near-tragedy and suffering when he is victimized by a horsetrader, and then to sheer fun when he frolics in the surf of the English Channel on a holiday. The high point of his story comes when his natural great jumping ability enables Nautical and his rider to win one of the great international horse show events in London, In "Olympic Elk," one of a series of Walt Disney*s spectacular "True-Life Ad ventures," theatre audiences will see America's most magnificent animals as the Indians and the earliest pioneers of the west saw them. Filmed in the almost inaccessible vastness of the Olympic Penninsula in western Washington, in print by Techni color, the authentic nature film presents the primitive world and its animal life as never before photographed. One of the last great herds of elk has taken refuge and thrives in this remote section of the country, roaming a 500 square mile range against the majestic background of peaks and alpine meadows. The outstanding na- turalist-photography team of Herb and Lois Crisler captured the life drama of the Olympic Elk on film after a two year period of living on the flank of the great herd, recording every detail of the life of the magnificent wild crea tures from birth to death battle of the harem lords, "Arizona Sheepdog," narrated by Rex Allen, is the story of a four-legged hero, Scrappy.
