Highlands boasts many lovely old
homes, but none present a more beautiful
picture of yesterday in Highlands than
”Playmore," the original Ravenel home out
Horse Cove way. As one enters the grounds
around the house he beholds the breath
taking view of the valley. The house sits
on the precipice far in from the road sur
rounded by lovely flowers and shrubs.
One steps from the yard upon the
wide old fashioned porch and enters the
large hall. To the right is the old par
lor which still retains all the charm of

speare, presented by Highlands Community
Theatre for the first time anywhere in
this format. Critically, TAKE ALL MI
LOVES has been praised as the high point
in the 26 year history of the local group
which has presented such entertainment
notables in the past as Edith Sommer,

EKDAHL TO lEAD BIRD WALK
The final bird walk sponsored by the
Highlands Biological Station will be con
ducted at 8:00 A.M., August 26. The group
will meet at the Museum.
Under the leadership of Mr, C. H.
Ekdahl the bird walks have been popular
and very well received. Mr* Ekdahl is a
member of the Halifax River Audubon Soci
ety (Florida)* For many years Mr. and Mrs.
Ekdahl have spent their summers in High
lands and winters in Dajrtona Beach.
