GALAX NEWS will be Miss Betty Holt and
Miss Elizabeth Worley. This will be a
first-time experience for both of them.
Miss Holt is a rising junior at
Highlands High School. She is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Richard C. Holt.
Miss Worley, who completed her fresh
man year at Highlands High School this
spring, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

College. A daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
V. W. McCall, Frieda is a rising sopho

ing in English.
Miss Jessie Harbison also plans to
return to Western Carolina College where
she will be a full-time counselor with
the Gifted Child Program. Miss Harbison
is a 1966 graduate of the college where
she majored in Elementary Education with
concentrations in Social Sciences and
English. This spring she was named
"Best College Citizen” among the women
students, receiving the highest award
the college offers. Jessie has been
with the GALAX IffiWS for the past four
years.
NATURE STUDY CLASSES TO BEGIN
JUNE 21st
Nature study classes sponsored by
the Highlands Biological Station and
held in the Museum Building will begin
June 21st*
The following schedule will be con
tinued through August 25th:
TUESDAY: 10-12—Age group 6-8
WEDNESDAY; 10-12—Age group 9-lL
THURSDAY; 10-12—Age group 12-14
The 12 through l4 age group will be
working on problems involving both field
and laboratory work. Since this group is
usually small, a limited number of inter
ested adults may register. However, in
order to receive maximum benefit^ atten
dance should be regular throughout the

NEW DOCTORS AT HOSPITAL
The Board of Trustees of the High-
lands-Cashiers Hospital, Inc., has an
nounced that Dr. Eula H. Pate and Dr.
William H. Oglesby, both well qualified
and efficient doctors, have moved to High
lands and will be here summer and winter.
Dr. Pate was born in Fort Gaines,
Georgia. She received her A. A, degree
from Young Harris College, her B. A. de
