Miss Linda Carol Chastain, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Chastain, became
the bride of Tolliver Vinson, Jr.,
Saturday, June 25, at 7:30, in the Clear
Creek Baptist Church.
The double ring ceremony was per
formed by Rev. Everett Wilson, cousin of
the bride, before a large crowd of rela
tives and friends.
Mrs. Glen Shuler gave a program of
wedding music and l^Uss Wanda Owens of
Satolah, Ga. sang "Whither Thou Goest"
and "The Lord*s Prayer".
The bride wore a floor length dress
of white bridal satin with long pointed
sleeves and with a short jacket. She
wore a shoulder length veil. Bridesmaids,
who were Donna McCall, Emalee Talley, and
Jewel Ann Reed, wore dresses of piidc and
blue taffeta. Loretta Hicks, cousin of
the bride, was maid of honor.(CON*T p. l8)
SERVICES HELD FOR GEORGE NEELY
George Yarber Neely, 90, of Satolah,
Georgia, died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday in a
Clayton, Ga. 'hospital after a lingering
illness.
He was a native of South Carolina,
a son of William and Nancy Picklesimer
Neely. He was married in 1900 to Mar
garet Elizabeth Brooks, of l%con County,
who survives. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving besides the widow are
four daughters, Mrs. Wiley McCall of
Highlands, Jfrs. Frank Dowdle of Washing
ton, D. C. and Ifrs. Leonard Hicks and
Mrs. Edward L. Reed, both of Satolah|
two brothers, Preston and Louie Neely,
both of Highlands; and four sisters, Mrs.
Mollie Angel of I-forganton, I'-Irs. Etta
McKinney of Highlands and Jfrs. Marguaree
Nix of Satolah.
Services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m.
in the Clear Creek Baptist Church.
