Any and all support is needed, but particularly in the area of directing. Anyone who has had any exper ience whatsoever, amateur or professional, in this field, is lorgently asksd to call Miss Dodson, even if a little advice is all they have time to give. The young people would like to put on “Mary, Mary”, but they’re in heavy weather right now* Also, as we noted in an earlier col umn, there is a large group of working collegiates in this area, and Kiss Dodson hopes that together they can do at least one Hootenanny. So the call is out for any folk-singing singles or groups, spare guitars, talent of any kind. Help from any direction \d.ll be SO VERY VJELCOME. it it i'c Mr, Ralph deVille, ov/ner and propri etor of the Stone Lantern, has again brought to Highlands a most attractive resident of Kyoto, Japan, Mr, Yagi Susumu. ^^r, 3us\jmu, who is a bachelor of 24, has his own porcelain shop in Kyoto, and has corns to us for the summer to share his expert knowledge on behalf of the Stone Lantern, Last week we mentioned the newly formed duplicate bridge group. We gave you date, time and place, but of course at the first meeting, the date and time were changed, on the vote of those pres ent. The place. Skyline Lodge, on the Flat Mountain Road, remains the same. The games will now be held on Wednesdays at 7:30 p. m,, instead of Tuesdays at 8:00. If you would like to play and do not have a partner, call Colonel William Britton, the director, who will be glad to pair you up. As our last week's edition went on the counters, with an item suggesting grass-cutting on East liain Street, the town mower was cutting the grass on East Main Street. Dr. James Hardin of North Carolina State Univer sity, ivdll give a talk on poisonous plants. He will speak at the Highlands Museum Building, on the road to Horse Cove. This lecture is the first of the regular summer series held for the pub lic by the Highlands Biological Station. There is no charge.
