JULY 28, 1966 "THE FOLLY OF FRETTING" BY REVm GROVER SEWELL If you will read the first eight verses of the thirty-seventh Psalm you will find that the word "fret” is used three times which indicates that the writer is determined to stress his point by the process of repetition* The Psalmist lived in days when there was much to try men*s souls# There were many sources of irritation, agitation, and worry if a person was to try to live without the help of One far superior to that which man was able to offer* How often we find, reflected in the Bible, that the problems of centuries ago were similar to those which xfe fac§ today. For those of us who accept the Bible as God*s Word, we hear Him saying to us in this psalm, "Fret not thyself" three times. readers may (CON*T ON PAGE 11) Kotige At it*s meeting on Wednesday, July 20th, the Board of Trustees of the High lands -Cashiers Community Hospital appoint ed Mr. Robert B. Dupree of Highlands Act ing Administrator of the hospital. Mr. Dupree has agreed to serve in this admini strative capacity until the opening of the Highlands schools this fall. Mr. Dupree is a member of the teaching staff of the local High School. He has held the po sition of Town Clerk of Highlands, has a long experience in a variety of education al assignments, and has been pastor of the Highlands Presbyterian Church. His appoint ment as Acting Administrator is immediate ly effective. JAHIE GLEAVELAND OUT OF HOSPITAL Jamie Cleaveland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cleaveland, who underwent open heart surgery on July 13 at Duke Hospital in Durham, N. C., returned to his home July 21st. Jamie is making a rapid re covery and attended Sunday School and Church services on Sunday. Mr. and l^s. Cleaveland wish to express their heartfelt thanks for the many, many kindnesses shown to Jamie and to them, and also for the prayers and loving concern of all their friends.
