W, B. Penny, pastor of Highlands Methodist Church, officiated at the double ring, candle light ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hedden of Highlands. The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs, Frank Dryman of Scaly Mountain, N, C. Prior to the taking of the vows Mrs. Glen Shuler presented a program of wed ding music with Ifrs. Georgia Norton as soloist. Mrs. Norton sang "Whither Thou Goest" and "Wedding Prayer", Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of silk or ganza over taffeta with chantilly lace appliques and a chapel train falling from the neckline. The fingertip veil was at tached to a crown of seed pearls. The bride's bouquet was a cascade of white carnations centered by a white orchid. Miss Anne Wilson, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor5 Mrs. Steve Brown and Miss Margaret Vinson were bridesmaids. They wore floor length dresses of light blue chiffon over taffeta and carried bou quets of pink carnations and ivy. Mr. Billy Tate served as best man. Ushers were Michael Hedden, brother of the bride 5 and Ronnie Dryman, brother of the groom. The bride’s mother (COII’T ON PA.GE lU) NRS. HENDERSON DIES J4*s. Dessie Moss Henderson, 8^, died Monday in Highlands-Cashiers Hospital fol lowing a lingering illness. She was a native of Jackson County, and a daughter of the late Jeff and Lena Stewart Moss. She was married in 1901 to Deck Henderson, who died December 16, 1965, and had been making her home in Macon County since her marriage. She was a member of Yellow Mountain Baptist Church. Surviving are a son. Bill Henderson of Cullowheej two daughters, ffrs. Robert L. Reese and Virs, Claude Keener, both of Highlands! three sisters, Mrs. Harveth Beale of Highlands, I^s. Cliff J^fenus of Woodstock, Ga. and Jfrs. Clyde Norton of Sacramento, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Services were held at 11 a.m. Wed nesday in RLne Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Everett Wilson and the Rev, Mielvin Brooks officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Quincy Hedden, Wil liam Berry, Roy Stewart, Bert and Leigh ton Moss and Walter Wilson.
