The “Shindiggers” from Lex ington, Kentucky, and the "Mountain City Cloggers" from Mbuntain City, Georgia, Tfill compete with teams from North Caro lina, and possibly South Carolina for $200 in prize money. According to Bob Padgett, festival chairman, prizes will be awarded separate ly for smooth dance teams and clogging teams this year. Judging will be by rep resentatives of each team, using a point system to determine winners. Dance music will be provided by (CON'D ON PAGE 16) DON WATSON DIES Ifr. Don Watson, 60, of the Mirror Lake section, died in Highlands-Cashiers Hospital at 1j15 Monday. He had suffered a heart attack a short time be fore, M:’. Watson was a native of Jackson County, a son of the late William A. and Josephine Williams Watson, He was a for mer North Carolina Highway employee, and had been self-employed in the construc tion business until he retired in 1963. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Grace Wright Watson; a son, Charles W. Watson, of Edgefield, South Carolina; a daughter, Fscs, Iferion W.
