THE GALAX NEWS AUGUST 10, 1967 PAGE 2 EPISCOPAL HONE TOUR--REYNOLDS, PHILLIPS, FORD-DAVIS, l/EBER Mr, and Mrs, Joe Reynolds, Mrs# E, L. Phillips, Miss Mae Ford and Mrs# Wilhemine Davis, and Mrs* Jacob Weber will open their homeB Friday afternoon to the Epiacopai Home Tour group. These homes are located on Bearpen Mountain, Sequoyah Lake, Holt Knob area, and ELue Valley Oerlook respec tively. Tea will be served at the Weber home. Those going cn the Tour must make ad vance reservations, obtainable by tele phoning 526-2444 on Friday morning (before noon). The Tour group will leave the Church of the Incamation at 2:30 on Fri day afternoon. Transportation will be provided. The Home Tours are a project of the Elpiscopal Churchwomen and Highlands* most interesting private homes are made avail able through the kindness of the owners. teacher and a Home Economics teacher. Under the E. S. E. A., it is assumed that the school will be operated in much the same way as last year, with the same number of personnel employed under the federal assistance program. The next and final production at Highlands Community Theatre for this season will be "The Fantasticks", playing August 23-27* At the present date, the cast has not been chosen. Jfeile and female vocalists are still needed for this lively musical. Reservations may be made by tele phone at ^26-269^ or at the boxoffice of the theatre. It is anticipated this mus ical will play to a standing-room-only theatre. HCT’S FINAL PRODUCTION "THE FANTASTICKS" HIGHLANDS SCHOOL WILL OPEN SEPTEMBER 5TH Principal W, C. WeT-xton announced Tuesday that Highlands School will offi cially open September ^th. Teachers will report to work on Wednesday, August 30th. Due to the resignations of Mrs. David Bailey, who has accepted a teaching position in Clayton, Ga., and Lester Young, who taught 8th grade last year, two vacancies are open for an elementary DR. OLIVE LECTURES AT MUSEUM TODAY Dr. Lindsay Olive, of Columbia IM- versity, will deliver a lecture at the Museum of Natural History this after noon (August 10th) at three o*clock. Dr. Olivers lecture topic is ”Fungi A - round Highlands.” Other events at the Museum will be a **show me'* trip on August 15th and an early momiiig nature walk on August l6th.
