Dr. and lyfoseley ¥aite, who
have spent the past ti7o years in Holland,
arrived August 23rd, in ito York, They
and their children, Elizabeth and Alexan
der, are the guests of Waite*s
mother, Ifrs. Elizabeth Valentine, until
Sunday. Dr. Waite was connected with the
University of Utrecht, Holland. The
Waites recently were in Israel where Dr.
T/aibe was called to a conference. Mc*s»
Waite made several tours in and around
Jerusalem during their stay. This year
the Waites will be living in Winston-
Salem, N. C., where Dr. Waite has the
responsibility of setting up a biochemist
ry laboratory in connection xd.th the
Bowman Gray School of Medicine and Wake
Forest College where he i^ll be teaching.

Knipp Hill was hung in the lobby of the
HL^lands Community Theatre during the
run of the last production, "The Fantas-
ticks. ”

James Coburn, who proved so de
lightful in "Our I&n Flint," is equally
inf ectious - and elightful in ''Dead Heat
on a Merry-Go-Round," playing at the
GALAX THEATRE on Tuesday and Wednesday,
Sept. 5-6. "Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-
Round" presents the star as a con man
extraordinary, a hard-working character
who uses the proceeds of his various
schemes to provide him with money for
bigger and better operations; seemingly
he never keeps any of it. Equally, he
is a charming young man always capable
of finding a girl to help him rob a
bank| he never keeps any of the girls,
either.
Co-starred in the Columbia Pictures
release is Camilla Sparv who portrays
the Boston girl he marries, aiKi abandons
when he makes a successful getaway with
the loot from a major theft. Also co-
starring are Camila Sparv, Aldo Ray,
Nina Wayne^ Robert Webber, and Todd
Armstrong. In the course of his build
up for his spectacular bank robbery,
Coburn assumes a wide variety of char
acterizations, all of them a pleasure
to watch*
