DEATH TAKES MRS. HARRELL
Word has been received of the death
of Mrs. Laura Young Harrell, 71, of Golds
boro, N, C., on Sunday, August 27. Ifrs.
Harrell taught school in Franklin, N, C,,
for several years before making her home
in Goldsboro where she lived for the past
forty-eight years.
Mrs. Harrell*s sister, Ifrs. W. A.
Bryson, and iy&7. Neville Bryson, of High
lands, attended the funeral held Monday
in the First Baptist Church of Goldsboro.
ADULT TYPING CLASSES
Adult I^ing Classes will be offered
in the Highlands area if there are enough
persons interested in the couree. This
will be for persons 18 years and overj
it will be beginning typing, and will last
for 10 weeks, 2 nights per week, and 3
hours per night. There ^rill be a charge
of $12.50 per person for the 10 week
session.
This course is being offered by the
Jackson Industrial Education Center,and
students will be offered the same instruct
ions as would be obtained at the Center,
and, if students are later interested in
enrolling in the Industrial Education
Center as a student, the typing course
would also count as credit.
The only requirement for obtaining
these classes in Highlands is that there
must be twelve or fifteen students who
want to take the beginning typing
course. The date the classes will be
gin is determined by when the list of
prospective students is received by the
Center.

PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH NEWS
The Session of the Church will
meet Thursday, August 31st, at 7?30
p.m. The meeting will be held in the
Educational Building.
Circle number one of the Women of
the Church will meet Wednesday, Septem
ber 6th, at 3 p.m. at the home of iyi*s.
