MUSEUM ACTIVITIES CAR TRIP The Nature Show-iyie Tour by car has been changed from Tuesday, July 30, to Wednesday, July 31* The tour, conduct ed by the Forest Service, will leave the museum at 10:00 a.m* and will drive along the Wilson Gap Road. The cars will stop at several locations and Mr. Jimmy Bishop, Resource Forester, will explain multiple use of the forest and will identify many of the plants and trees of the area. I3DEKTIFII1IQ BIRDS On Thursday, August 1, at 3sOO p.m. Dr. I%lvine Trussell, Professor Emeri tus of Florida State University, will speak on "Learning to Identify Birds", li. Trussell followed Roger Tory Peter son, the noted ornithologist and artist, as president of the American Nature Study Society. NATURE CRAFTS On Wednesday, July 31^ at 2;00 p.m. jy&rs. J. S. Blair will conduct a nature (LOST AT SEfl., CONTINUED FROM PAGE FIVE) at which time Mr. Gamber requested and received permission from the I^BLami Cen ter for a northeast deviation from course in order to avoid some thunderstorm build ups. Fifty minutes later Mr. Gamber was in a relayed radio communication contact via a Pan American airliner. This was the last contact with the aircraft. Since the aircraft was reported lost, one of the most intensive search and res cue operations ever conducted in Bahamian waters was carried out by both the U. S. and Bahamian government search and rescue' squadrons as X'^ell as by innumerable friendf in private aircraft. No trace of the aircraft or its occupants had been discovered until the middle of last week, when an antenna and wing tip, knoxTn to be part of the air craft, washed up on the south shore of the island.
