HOSPITAL AUCTION AUGUST 25TH
The Special Benefit Auction for the
Highlands-Cashiers Hospital will be held
at the Highlands Art Gallery on Main St.
at 2s30 p.m. on Sunday, August 25th. Mr.
V.W. McCall, Fund Chairman for the hospi
tal drive, has announced that through the
courtesy and cooperation of Mr. Arthur
Trock and Mr. Morris Stone, owners of the
Highlands Art Gallery, the Gallery and its
staff will auction items donated by busi
ness owners and individuals, for the bene
fit of the Hospital Fund Drive.
Items to be auctioned, I'Ir. McCall
said, will range from designer dresses
to dinners at various inns and clubs, to

SQUARE DANCE FESTIVAL TONIGHT
The Seventh Annual Square Dance Fes
tival will begin tonight at 8s30 p.m. in
the Highlands School Gym. An evening of
hand-clapping-knee-slapping fun is on
the docket. Admission is ip2.00.
There will be several out-of-town
dance teams who will coiT5)ete in tx^o dif
ferent categories—square dancing and
smooth dancing—prize money will total
^200.
