HCT needs ACTORS FOR NEXT
PRODUCTION
Three men are wanted to play lead
ing roles in "The Importance of Being
Earnest" at the Highlands Community
Theatre. Auditions for a young man in
his twenties or thirties to play Jack
WorthingI a character actor to play Canon
Chasuble; and a proper English manservant
named Lane, will be held Sunday night at
8 p.m. at the theatre.
All Highlands residents and summer
visitors are invited to auditions. The
roles will not be cast until Sunday
night.
Rehearsals begin Monday and perfor
mance dates are set for July 31-Aug. 2.

THEATRE, a Western in which he and Dean
Martin star in Durango, Mexico.
"First picture I ever did was a
Western, Abe," he says. "But just a
little one. A Hopalong Cassidy. They
sent me up to Lone Pine to play the heavy
—me a Conn. Yankee that couldn’t even
ride one of these things they use.
"The wrangler, he looks at me,
points to a big, red four-legged critter,
and says "Take that one." So me and the
horse look at each other, and he doesn’t
like me argr better than I like him.
Right off we just don’t cotton. I climb
onto him, and zoom! — he throws me 20
feet.
