EARNEST" OPENS TONIGHT
It's opening night once again at
the Highlands Community Theatre with
curtain time set for 8s30 p.m. tonight
on the colorful Oscar ^\Jilde comedy, "The
linportance of Being j&rnest." Seats
are still available tonight thru Satur
day and for the 2s30 p.m. Sunday matinee
by calling Wit's lihd Shop (526-3l60) or
the theatre (526-2695)* Reservations
are advised, but seats will always be
available at the box-office for last-
minute theatregoers.
Ticket headquarters in front of
Wit's End Shop will be open Friday and
Saturday from 10 a.m. until U p.m.
Adult tickets are $3.00. Student ad
mission for children and students through
high school age is $2.00.
Ffeitrons are reminded to telephone
for reservations in advance if they have
not reserved seats for the season.
"The Importance of Being Earnest"
will be presented with lavish costumes
designed anicreated by Frank Bennet,
designer for the Jferion Players in Ocala,
I^lorida. Bennett's local costume crew

Ivins, J^s. Charles Bryan and company?-
member Debby Russell.

HOME AND GARDEN TOURS AUGUST
6TH AND 15TH
The Annual Home and Garden Tours
sponsored by the Highlands-Cashiers
Garden Club will be held on two separ
ate days this year.
The first tour scheduled for
August 6th will consist of outstanding
homes in the Sapphire and Cashiers
area with lunch at Sapphire Valley
]jm.
The homes of Ifr. and Mrs. John
Becker and and Mrs. James Curtis,
both on PoDund Hill, Sapphire Valley
will be visited before lunch time.
After luncheon at Sapphire Valley Inn
the homes of Carl 0. Hoffma.n and
l^r. and l^rs. Edmund Cluett in the
Cashiers area will be visited to com
