DR. OGLESBY RESIGNS
Dr. William H* Oglesby* subinitted
his resignation to the Boai^d of Directors
of the Highlands-Cashiers Hospital last
Wednesday, He has accepted a position
in Tifton, Georgia, where he will be
associated with Dr, Rob ley Smith, Dr.
Oglesby and his family came to Highlands
in June, 1966.
August 30th will be the last day
he will be in his office* He has stated
that for insurance and medicare reasons,
he must take his patients' files with
him, but would be very glad to f\irnish
photostatic copies to patients who

‘'THE CURIOUS SAVAGE^' ^OPENS
TONIGHT AT HIGHLANDS COMMUNITY
THEATRE
John Patrick*s fantasy-comedy, "The
Curious Savage," one of the most popular
plays in Jfcdern American theatre, opens
tonight at 8:30 p.m. at the Highlands
Community Theatre under the direction of
Michael Hall. Setting and costumes are
by Frank Bennett, designer for I'ferion
Players, Ocala, Plorida. Seats are
available for tonight*s performance by
calling Wit*s End Shop at 526-3160 or
the theatre at 526-2695* A reception
for audience and actors will be held
immediately following tonight*s opening
performance.
Ihree evening perfromances are
scheduled tonight through Saturday T-rith
a 2:30 p.m. Sunday matinee August 17.
Adult admission is $3.00. A special
rate of $2.00 is available for students
through high school age.
The play is a charming comedy suit
able for family entertainment. The cast
for "The Curious Savage" includes Marye
Brent, popular dinner theatre actress
who has played numerous John Patrick
heroines I Dean Brown, professional act
or and designer from Syracuse, Hew York)
and theatre staff members Gary Cheatham,
Debby Russell, and Sally Kline.

Tonight*s the night - the last
event sponsored by the Chamber of
Commerce for this season, and thqy are
looking for a grand turnout for the
Eighth .Innual Square Dance ^festival.
If you havenH bought your tickets at
this last minute, they are still avaj.l-
able at the Chamber of Commerce and
at the door of the Highlands School
Gym tonight before the festival.
I'fr. John Fhelan, President of
the Chamber of Commerce, will be master
of ceremonies and welcome the eight
