(HOSPITAL »rs, CONTINUED FROM P. 9)
to portion her time and services in the
most efficient way possible,
FOR THE PATIENT,.•ONLY THE BEST
IN HOSPITAL am I'EDICAL CARE IS GOOD
ENOUGH.,,AND THE BEST IS NEVER CHEAP.
There are still patients who use
the services of Your Hospital and who
make no effort to either arrange for
payment of their bills or actually
pay the bill. Unless a person is
aware of the fact that ordinary
honesty calls for the payment of a
bill, it is very difficult for the
people charged with the responsibi
lity of collection here to do much
about this. Your Hospital will not
refuse admission to anyone who needs
hospitalization because of the lack
of money. It simply askes the Pa
tient to settle his account in a
business like way either by regular
payments on it or by hospital in
surance or in cash at the time of
discharge. Some completely ignore
doing any of these simple things and
this leaves Your Hospital in the
position of either getting real de
cisive about the payment or simply
just taking it as a matter of
course, Ihis latter way of working
sould soon put the Hospital in
bankruptcy so it is forced to take
drastic steps to collect these
accounts. Your Hospital would much
rather have the patient cooperate
and do what should be done than to
be forced to take such steps.
Your Hospital never sleeps,,,
since Pain never rests.
(ROTARY NEi'JS, CONTINUED FROM PAGE 3)
Highlands could and should take ad
vantage of the skills of retired summer
residents, many of whom have great knorr-
ledge and experience and would be willing
and able to contribute time and assist
ance to worthwhile civic projects such
as the proposed Rotary building. Dr.
Tnissell cited as an example the fact
that she is teaching a Sunday School
class at the Highlands Methodist Church
after years of retirement from teaching.
Allen Still reported on a meeting
of the Project Committee, PUnd Raising
for the proposed civic building will
officially open with a barbeque on Oct
ober 19th followed by tours of the forev'5t
to enjoy the aut\imn leaves at the peak
of their color. Letters are to be sent
to Rotary Clubs in Georgia, Florida, and
South Carolina urging members to atterji
the event,
Rotarian ¥, H, Mailman of Highlands
and Starke, Florida, volunteered to
start the fund off with a donation of
$50,00, ktsy gifts trill be welcome.
