PLANS FOR NON-GRADEL PROGRAM
ANNOUNCED
Following is a letter which has been
sent to many parents with children enrol
led in the first four years of schools
Dear Parent,
We are looking fon-jard to another
year of school and are sure your child
will have a most enjoyable year during
1969-1970.
This year will be a wonderful exper
ience for each child because he will be
engaged in a program where actual step-
by-step learning will take place and not
just a "covering the book or materials"
and going on—^whether or not the child
has learned the prior material.
Being the same age as others in a
"grade" does not mean he has reached the
same maturity. No two children learn at
the same rate of speedj therefore, no child
should be left behind, and no child should
be bored. This year there will be no
"grades" for those children who will be
in the first four years of school. They
will be in a home room with their otto age
group and learn and work in many different
groups successfully progressing from level
to level-
The following is the general program;
Five rooms will be used, each designated
for a specific subject. Ihe subject
roo«s are /vritteetio,
