Ranger Brown said the Rosman Rescue
Squad reached the scene about 3 a.m.
Monday, but darkness prevented effective
search.

Cashiers and Franklin Rescue Squads joined

the Forest Service. Personnel also ar
rived from the Schenck Job Corps Center.
Brown said members of the rescue
squads patrolled the road and trail all
night Monday, hoping the youngsters were
lost in the thick bramble of laurel.
Brown said lUesday some bloodhounds
owned by Belton Taylor of Hominy arrived
to assist in the search. He said the
dogs went straight to the top of Rainbow
Falls and one dog leaped as though to get
out in the treacherous water.
An autopsy will be performed in
Asheville, according to one of the in
vestigators.
Brown was heavy with praise for Wil
son, the Scuba diver. He termed him "one
of the most efficient and well-qualified
to be found in this area" and said the
search for the boy’s body could have gone
on indefinitely x-Tithout the assistance

"BANDOLEROJ"
One of three big-scale Westerns
set for release, "Bandolerol" has as its
most competitive assets James Stewart
and Dean J&rtin in the roles of outlaws,
and Raquel Welch for romantic interest,
and George Kennedy, the Os car-winner for
"Cool Hand Luke", as sheriff. The Rob
ert L. Jacks production also has the
benefit of a tightly knit script that
is built around a series of chases and
The first group that the screenplay
of James Lee Barrett sets into flight is
a gang of bank robbers headed by Martin,
all of whom have just been rescued from
the hangman’s noose in a Texas toxiim by
Stewart, who plays l^rtin’s brother. As
hostage on the way to the border they
take along Miss Welch, a newly-mdoi'jed
Mexican beauty whose husband left her a
fortune. In hot pursuit come sheriff
Kennedy, who has long pined for Miss ^felch
from afar and his posse. Soon stalking
both groups is a band of murderous l^iiexi-
can cut-throats. All three contingents
come together at the climax for a long^
and bloody shoot-up which leaves practi
cally ishe whole cast dead, including
Stewart and Ifertin. Only Mss Welch and
Kennedy survive to bury the corpses.
The film plays Sept. 5th and 6th at
the GALAX THEATRE.
