Dies
Funeral services for Louis House
Clay, president of Clay-Cutton Inc.,
Southern Ford Tractor Co., and Mdland
Ford Tractor Co. of St. Louis, were
held at 9s30 a.m. Saturday at the House
of Bultman, 3338 St. Charles Ave,, in
New Orleans, La.

was in Metairie Cemetery.
la*. Clay, 68, died R?iday morning
at Ochsner Rjundation Hospital after a
long illness.
A native of Temple, Tex., he was
a resident of New Orleans since 1937•
He and his wife, I'Irs. Clay, have been
summer residents of Highlands for many
years. He held a bachelor of science
degree from Texas Agricultural and !%-
chanical University.
From 1937 to 19l|2, he was division
manager of Ford Motor Co. and was chair
man of the War Production Board of New
Orleans from 19h2. to 19ii-b* He was a
lieutenant coiTinander of the U, S, Naval
Reserves from 19Uii to 19ii5*
In 19U^, he formed a partnership
with Col. Thomas W. Dutton for the three
companies of which he served as presi
dent.
He was a board member of the Nat
ional Bank of Commerce of New Orleans,
National Bank of Commerce of Jefferson,
First National Bank of Slidell, and a
member of the New Orleans Country Club,
