Highlands has been brightened up by-
gay pots of blooming geraniums set out
in front of business places along Ifein
Street and on "the hill." This was done
by I^S?s. Tom Allen, l^s. John Fhelan and
Jfrs. Ernie Stevens, representing the
Highlands-Cashiers Garden Club. Potts
I'ferket very graciously let the Club have
the floiiers at cost - a big thank you to
Steve and Yella Ibel
Sighty pots of begonias have also
been placed in the village by the Club
and these flowers are kept watered and
tended by members of this civic-minded
organization.
It is accents like this that make
the downtoim section of Highlands
attractive and in keeping with the
wealth of natural beauty in which the
town is set.
