JULY 2y 1-9?Q- BROTHER OF C, E. MITCHELL DIES lee G, MLtcheH, age 62, died in a Greenville, S, C, hospital Tuesday, June 30. In addition to his brother, C. E, Mitchell of Highlands, he is sur vived by his wife and two daughters and one son. Mr, Mitchell had been in de clining health for a period of approxi mately twelve months. Mitchell had resided in Green ville for approximately thirty-five years. He had been engaged in trans portation and had been connected with Huckaby Trucking Lines. He had been unable to work during the past year due to poor health. He was a native of Westminster, South Carolina. LIBRARY TEA POSTERS MADE Last Thursday a group gathered at King*s Inn to make posters advertising the Tea which will be given Tuesday afternoon, July lUth, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the lobby of the Inn. Mrs. George Saussy, Mss Helen Augur, Mrs. Harry long, yts. Polly ¥ax, Mrs. E. C. Kueh. I^s. Janies Blair, I'Irs. John Fhelan, Mrs. Charles DeMorroi^, 1'tt‘s. Paul Fifer, Mrs. Tom Allen and Mrs. Ernest Stevens made posters which are to be seen in stores of the business district. The tea will feature a fashion show to be staged by I%ry Norton* s House of Fashion and an art exhibit of original paintings displayed by Chuck Duck, genial proprietor of the Original Silver I#iistle. Everyone is invited - including our husbands and men friends - to attend the tea and entertainment. Donations will be accepted which are needed to maintain the Hudson Library. An attractive door prize has been donated by the Highlands Art Gallery which will be given away at the close of the tea. Next Monday, July 6th, the Miss Universe Luncheon and Fashion Show will be held at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, coordinated by I'&ry Norton who has "gormed" Mss Universe contest ants since the inception of the contest seven years ago. HIGHLANDS-CASHIERS GARDEN CLUB Members of the Highlands-Cashiers Garden Club are urged to note that the date for the annual workshop to be con ducted by I'^rs. Donald Hastings of Atlanta will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Center on Wednesday, July 15. The change in date x^as made necessary because of a conflict in l^s. Hastings* busy schedule. Everyone interested in flower arranging is urged to attend this work shop. There will be no charge, but those attending are asked to bring a sandwich for lunch and their oi-m container. Mater ials will be furnished. The annual Garden Tour will start at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 5* On the 1970 tour will be the new homes of I'^r. and ¥xs. Cost of the tour, which includes trans portation and luncheon at King*s Inn x^ill be $5.00 per person. Chmar's next assignment. Nora and Chris Brunson are spending ti^o weeks in Norcross, Georgia, visiting their mother, I'3:’s. Carolyn Brunson and also Mss Alice Chastain. Mss Sheila Chastain is also visiting I£rs.
