The total rainfall for the first 6 months of 1970 in Highlands was 30.ii7 inches and the normal is U3-85- Highlands is therefore 13*38 below normal. During 1969 the total rainfall for the first 6 months was U5«93 which gave the area a total of 2.08 inches above normal.
