HIGHLANDS - "The Mousetrap" the Agatha
Christie murder mystery which opened last
Thursday night at Highlands Community
Theatre, is a dramatic and effective
change of pace from the sophisticated
comedies played last month, and shows to
advantage the versatility of the acting
and production staff of this exceptionally
good summer troupe.

A BREATH OF FRESH AIR
-by John L, Wilhelm
How extremely fortunate you High-
landers are. Air-conditioned by nature
without the necessity of changing fil
ters or paying the electric bill. Gobs
of fresh air for your lungs, all for the
breathing. lfi.le after mile of oxj^'gen-
producing mountain greenery. Cascading
waterfalls and purest of streams hurry
ing down to the sea to become even
tually stagnated, tainted and polluted
as it meets with industry*s waste
material and slime.
You are truly blessed by not having
the complexities of ecological prob
lems to face as do other comitninities of
this country - fish, belly up from lack
of oxygen occasioned by oil spill,
waste residue dumping, DDT and insecti
cide saturation. All this contributing
to the decline of wildlife.
