(CONTINUED ON PAGE 5) FIRE ON SATUL^ The Fire Department rushed two trucks to the old Elliott home on Satulah in response to a call last Tuesday after noon and extinguished a fire in one of .the upper bedrooms. The fire was caused- by a defective extension cord. Some fur niture was destroyed, but the damage was slight due to the prompt action of the Fire Ifepartment, Neighbors, whose phone was used to call in the alarm, said it was amazing how fast the Fire Department got to the scene and how efficiently they handled the situation. 19TH YEAR OF PUBLICATION
