FIRE ON SATUL^
The Fire Department rushed two
trucks to the old Elliott home on Satulah
in response to a call last Tuesday after
noon and extinguished a fire in one of
.the upper bedrooms. The fire was caused-
by a defective extension cord. Some fur
niture was destroyed, but the damage was
slight due to the prompt action of the
Fire Ifepartment, Neighbors, whose phone
was used to call in the alarm, said it
was amazing how fast the Fire Department
got to the scene and how efficiently they
handled the situation.
