co-editors are Dottjr Dendy. a senior at
Western Carolina University, and Susan
I-Hiitinire, a sophomore at the University of
North Carolina at Greensboro. Working with
us for the first time is Barbara Dendy,
who will enter Western Carolina University
this fall.

Services for William Earl Crunkieton
67, of Highlands, who died Wednesday at
his home, were held at 2s30 p.m. Satur
day in Highlands United Methodist Church,
of which he was a member.
The Revs. Julian Aldridge and Harvey
Stewart officiated. Burial was in Mller
Cemetery.
Mr. Crunkleton was a retired farmers
a member of Carolina Hunting Club and a
native of Macon County.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie
Nicholson Crunkletoni a daughter, >Irs.

ANNOUNGES 1971 PLAY SEASON
The musical comedy “The Boy Friend”
will officially open the thirty-second
summer stock season Friday, July 2 at
8;30 p.m. at the Highlands Community The
atre. Michael Hall, returning as direct

announced that a preview performance will
be given Thursday, July 1, but the offi-
cal opening has been scheduled one night
later so that regular ’'opening nighters”
can support the Highlands-Cashiers hos
