The HCT production of "The Boy Friend," a musical spoof of the flapper era, is now in full rehearsal at the Community Theatre under the direction of Mke Hall, music director David Hagan, choreographer Alice Haig Berman and script girl Karin Hagan. ON PAGE 13) OX ROAST FESTIVAL The Ox Roast Festival should be of particular significance to all Western North Carolinians and those of us who call it our part-time home. Legend has it that Flora >lacDonald helped Bonnie Prince Charlie escape from Scotland to the Continent. For this, she was imprisoned in the Tower of London. After she was released, she came i^ith a small band of refugees to Western North Carolina. After their first crop was gathered. Flora and her friends celebrat ed after the old English custom of roasting the ox.
