Catawba Falls - near Ridgecrest, a couple miles off U.S. 70, It has five different levels, Connestee Falls - On U.S. 276 about six miles south of Brevard. These are twin falls, each about 110 feet. Indian Creek Falls - North of Bryson City above the Deep Creek campground in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Looking Glass Falls-on U*S, 276 in Pisgah National Forest between Wagon Gap and Brevard. Ifelrose Falls - Between Saluda and Tryon, located right off the highway. Pearson’s Falls - Between Saluda and Tryon. A 75 foot cascade, it is located in a naturalists* paradise on a four-acre park site maintained by the Tryon Garden Club. Shunkawaken Falls - located five miles north of IfJhite Oak I^bimtain via N.C. 108 between Rutherfordton and Tryon. Silver Run Falls - Off of N.C. 107 ’ a road from Cashiers that drops down into I'Jhiteside Cove. Soco Falls - on U.S. 19 near Soco Gap. Wolf Creek Falls - left from Tuckaseegee on N.C. 281 to Anvil Tongue, thence to National Rock Bridge that spans the Tuckaseegee River. There are many other falls to be seen wherever you travel in the mountains- small ones and large ones. And for a heap of folks today they cast a special kind of spell. For there is a certain enchantment in watching violent water pluimeting downt'j'ard, tumbling over big rock ledges, and filling the clean, musky air with ail incessant rum.
