of Kentucky. He received his higu
aclioul education at Berea Acad-
tiiiy, t/crea, Kentucky. Me spent
ni> fresnman year in coliege at
Ohio Wealeyan University.
The next year, however, be mov
ed to North Carolina and entered
Atlantic Christian College. Dur
ing his sophomore year at A.C.C.
he became cabinet officer on the
y.M.C.A. He also joined the Glee
Club and was active in the Dra.
matic Club. He became a member
of the Ministerial Club that year.
In his junior year, Mr. Wheeler
was elected Vice-l’resident of the
y.M.C.A., and President of the
Ministerial Club for first semester.
He was an active member of the
Keligious Education Committee.
In his senior year he became a
member of the Debating Club. He
was elected to the position of pres
ident of the Y.M.Cj^., and was
