The Bishop’s company of Santa
Barbara, California, will present
Christopher JYy’s "The Boy With
a Cart” on December 3rd at 8
p.m. in Howard Chapel under the
sponsorship of the Concert and
Assembly Committee. This unique
respertory company is now in its
7th year of touring from coast to
coast.
Written by the celebrated author
of "The Firstborn” and “The La
dy’s Not For Burning”, this play is
serious and yet plays with the spe
cial brand of Fry humor that has
made him a Broadway favorite. No
stage setting will be used for the
unique presentation of “The Boy
With a Cart”, but both the actors
and the audience will visualize a
pleasant meadow in the south of
England as the play is presented
in the hapel’s chancel.
Founded in 1952 by Phyllis Ben-
t)ow Beardsley, The Bishop’s Com
pany has toured over 500,000 miles
playing in 48 states and Canada.
It has appeared as part of the of

Poem '"Once^
By M.4RGET WALKER
I had a dream once
one dream one night once
that once
came once and was here
one dream
once.
I saw a man
on a long beach
walking in sand white hard
sand like salt
but sweet and
pure white like
the innocence of
a wing of some lost bird
in a not-earth light
of a pure
white morning
once.
He walked
and all the while
while the sand glistened
white and he walked
no bird sang
and no wind whimpered to him
and, no wave wound round him
he walked naked
and smiled of
innocence.
And he whistled
a soft lost song
to some lost bird
while no bird
and no wave
answered
once.
He walked in his
nakedness until
he faded into
tiie not-earth light
of the pure white
innocent morning
once.

One of the so-caUed scandal mag
azines must really be desperate
for readers. Now they’re trying to
make a comparsion between El
mer Gantry and BUly Graham.
The cover declares that Holly
wood jazzed up the Lewis novel
so as to imply that Gantry is actu
ally Graham. Hmm!
Pat Boone who surprised the
literary world with a run away

The Platters’ “To Eiach His

many best-seUer lists.
Reader questions— “Is there
going to be a fUm called “King
of Kings?” There already has been
one. A remake number 3, as a
matter of fact—is in production
now.
“Are there going to be any more
“I Love Lucy” films made?”
Since Desi apparently no longer
loves Lucy, it’s rather doubtful.
“What is the most successful
film ever made?” There are sever
al possibilities. The top three in
order are “Ten Commandmemts”,
“Gone With the Wind”, (soon to
be re-issued) and “The Greatest
Show on Earth”. FVom all indi
cations, however, “Ben Hur” will
soon top aU of these. It’s interest
ing to note that two of these films
were done by the late Cecil B.
DeMille, a native of this state.

Thanksgiving brings many good
things. Some goodies in the way
of television that many anticipate
are the annual Thanksgiving morn
parades which will march forth
on the screens this year as always.
New tunes to watch: “Many
Tears Ago” by Connie Francis wiU
probably keep the lass weeping aU
the way down to the bank. “Be
lieve Me” by the SkyUners is
breaking big in other parts of the
country. “Night Theme”, a new
instrumental, also has possibiliti

In the way of albums, don’t be
surprised if the Kingston Trio al

success. Also watch the ^bby
Darin Christmas album which con
tains some very original holiday
sounds. ’The other Darin album for
“Teenagers Only” is selling to
people of all ages.
Until after mid - terms and holi

this is it for now. Have a very
