The ACC women travelled to
Raleigh Monday night to take on
the women of Peace. Going with
a defensive attitude the Puppies
knew they would have to play
tough which thev did.
The first half the Puppies
looked pretty good and kept
within 4 to 6 points most of the
half. Then Peace stretched the
lead some but the ACC gang kept
up the best they could. The
Puppies’ shooting was off the
first half only hitting 11 out of 50,
but the rebounding looked pretty
go(xi with 36 "big ones”. The
scoring at halftime was spread
out with Debbie Purvis leading
with 8 followed by Connie Hines
and Carolyn Stevens each with 6.
The turnovers forced by ACC
helped the Puppies stay in the
game during th first half. Peace
committed 11 turnovers. Other
statistics looked like this: team

The second half the Puppies

second half hurting the scoring
advantage. The Puppies never
gave up and played tough
through out the game losing 73-
59.
