Were You There? by Nancj’ Bridges We hope you were, because if not you really missed a great show! What show? The Fashion Up-Date for the fall-winter season! The Women's Interdorm As sociation (WIA) sponsored the event which was presented for ACC women by Belk’s of Wilson. Tuesday, October 30, Hardy Alumni Hall was the setting. As the ladies piled in, the one male among us preluded the show with soft music. We were privileged to have Mr. Clif Harris providing the music throughout the show. By 6:29 p.m., the models, excitedly nervous, stood ready. 6:30 p.m. and the show began! Mrs. Jenny Lee was introduced to preside. As she spoke, each niodel, with the poise of a professional, took her individual runway walk to present each beautiful garment. The beauti ful models were ACC students: Bobbie Bullock, Cheryl DuRant, Bobbie Edwards, Karen Game, Teresa Lee, Dawn Mannion, Kim Matheson, Geno Soriano, Donna Spring and Shauna Taswell. After the first group of fashions came a brief intermis sion during which music/song entertainment by Clif. The WIA then presented a lucky door prize winner with the first gift certificate. The Show proceeded with another group of lovely array. Throughout the show, we were all to see everything from jeans to skirts to suits to coats to evening gowns to accessories and even to sleepwear. Another intermission followed; one more melody from Clif; and another gift certicate awarded. The fashions seemed to get better and more “mouth-water- ingly” gorgeous! the final selection included evening wear from practical to dazzling! The show completed, the ladies sat awaiting the final certificate. Then everyone joined in a time of refreshments and socializing. WIA is glad that the show was enjoyable for those attending, and we want to thank you for joining! And sincere appreci ation goes to Belk’s and to Mrs. See Page 4 The faculty committees for the 1979-80 school year have been chosen by the Atlantic Christian College faculty and administration.
