could be a possible fund-raising
arrangement with student or
ganizations. Representatives
from Solar Applications will
hold a demonstration of their
product and a group interview

in Room 140 (auditorium) of the
Nursing Building. All interested

But it’s best not to think about
it. If one thinks about it, one
gets tired. And no one wants to
run when they’re tired.
One more turn and then the
home stretch. Who’s going to
make it all the way today? The
frat rat determined to get back
in shape, refuses to slow down
even for a second. And the quiet
guy, trying to keep up with his
tall red headed friend, pours on
even more speed. Finally, they
cross the highway and make the
last turn.
As each runner makes that
last turn, he starts his kick. The
soccer player pulls way out in
front and the wrestler does his
best to stay on his heels. The

faculty and students Linwood
Bratcher, Charles Henry, Craig
Everett, Clifton Harris, and
Monty Totten. Members of the
properties committee are stu
dents Bratcher and Kimberly
Sykes.

is stage director. The opera is
produced and directed by
Albert.

Then, the sign that marks the
finish. The soccer player crosses
first, followed close behind by
the wrestler. Several seconds
pass, and then the red head and
the quiet guy cross next. A few
seconds later the frat rat
crosses, compelled only by

Then finally, the curly headed
guy finishes, cheered on by his
co-horts, but upset about being
last.
Upon merging together
.^gain, they each discuss their
shared adventure between short
fast breaths. Soon, they run out
of things to say, and they go
back to their perspective rooms.
The sun is up now, quilting
the clouds with the many splen
did colors of morning.
Then there’s always the day
after tomorrow, when they meet
again.

Prospective teachers who
plan to take the National Teach
er Examinations on Feb. 16, at
Atlantic Christian College were
reminded today they have less
than two weeks to register with
the Educational Testing Service
(ETS), Princeton, N.J.
Craig Falor, director of career
planning and placement at
Atlantic Christian said registra
tions should be mailed in time to
reach ETS no later than Jan.23
when regular registration closes.
A penalty fee of $5 is charged
for registrations received at
ETS after Jan. 23 but prior to
Jan. 30. After Jan. 30 registra
tions will not be accepted for the
February administration.

tions may be obtained form the
Atlantic Christian College
Career Planning and Placement
Office or directly from the
National Teacher Examinations,
ETS, Box 911, Princeton, N.J.

During the one-day testing
session, a registrant may take
the Common Examinations
which include tests in profes
sional and general education
plus one of the 26 Area Exami
nations designed to probe know
ledge of particular subject mat
ter and teaching methods.
Once registered, each candi
date will receive an admission
ticket and notification of the
exact location of the center at
which to report. Those taking
the Common Examinations will
report at 8;30 a.m., and finish at
about 12:30 p.m., Falor said.

4:15 p.m.
