taught at the East 'Elkin Baptist Church under the direction of
Rev. Claude E. Flincham. This group is made up of children whose
parents are employed in the mill. Rev. J. L. Powers is pastor of
this church.
Chicken Stew
The above pictures were made at the recent chicken stew
sponsored by the L.H.C. Club No. 1. Group shown around the piano
are singing after the big dinner. Alex Chatham, Jr., and Babe
Poole appear to be doing a good job at the piano. At right Bill
Pardue makes away with the “stew.”
