He Had His Pie And Ate It Too Bouquets For The ‘‘Picnic’^ Committee During the 20 years I have been with Mr. Straus it was my privilege to arrange many outings, dances and other social affairs for the em ployees. During that time we had about 200 employees. Today with 1600 or more em ployees it is really a job to arrange such a picnic as we had at Camp Sap phire on the 4th of July. Never have I attended any picnic for employees or members of any fraternal organ ization which was so well arranged as the Ecusta get together. The fact that there was no sign of any disorder, not an accident and the happy-go-lucky spirit of the pic nickers indicates that it was a trem endous social success. The “rains came” but failed to dampen any body’s spirits. It was a fine affair and my hat’s off to the personnel who worked so hard and efficiently to make it such. Here’s hoping that we can celebrate the 4th of July in 1943 in the same manner. I know now I am a rank amateur at arranging picnics.
