CHRISTMAS CAROL PROGRAMS GIVEN BY BAND, CHORUS Supt. Bennett Delivered A Message And Company Gave Cash Presents The spirit of Christmas was greatly stimulated for all Ecusta employees by a series of Christ mas programs which were pre sented in the cafeteria on Wednes day and Thursday, December 22 and 23, by the Ecusta band and chorus and by a splendid Christ mas message delivered by Supt. Raymond F. Bennett. The hearts of all employees were also made happier at those parties when heads of each de partment presented cash gifts from the company to the employ ees. The stage and the cafeteria were artistically decorated with Yule- tide trimmings and old Santa Claus, together with his helpers— a group of pretty girls all dressed in red and white—added a great deal to the success of the Christ mas programs. They distributed programs and copies of the De cember issue of The Echo, Members of the band and chorus gave a truly beautiful, in spiring and impressive program of Christmas carols which were pre sented under the direction of John Eversman. Member of the chorus sang the carols with warmth and feeling. The attractive printed programs were dedicated to former em ployees now in the armed forces and carried the names of them on the last two pages. The programs also contained a message of “Dedi cation” by President Straus, the speech delivered by Mr. Bennett and a large number of Christmas carols. On Wednesday night members of the band and chorus were guests of Mr. Harry Straus at an informal banquet held in the cafe teria and at a theatre party in Brevard. At the banquet, Mr. Eversman presided. Short talks were made by Miss Edna Earl Nannie, Frank Kirber, Ray Ben nett, Walter Straus and Ed M. Anderson. Buy U. S. Government Bonds and Stamps regularly.
