PAOE TWELVE
POPULARITY OF
MOVIES GROWING
Fine Program Of Pictures
For Next Month Is An
nounced. Details Given.
The popularity of our Thurs
day night movies is growing by
leaps and bounds. We promised
better movies; here they are: May
31 brings one of Selznick’s great
est movies to our screen, co-star
ring Marlene Dietrich and Charles
Boyer in GARDEN OF ALLAH. It
is the romantic adventure of two
hearts who flee to the Arabian'
desert. It’s a “must”. There will be
selected shorts and Chapter 15 of
WILD BILL HICKOK.
June 7—Dancing in a delicious
musical are Fred Astaire and Joan
Leslie. It’s THE SKY’S THE
LIMIT. Bob Benchley adds his two
bits. You’ll love Astaire and Joan
Leslie is “out of this world.” Don’t
miss it! Selected .shorts and the
serial fill the bill.
Can you think of anything nicer
than listening to melodies sung by,
Tony Martin or just feasting your
eyes on Rita Hayworth? We’ll have
both plus Andre Kostelanetz and
his music in Columbia’s MUSIC
IN MY HEART, on June 14. Also
selected short subjects.
She may be a gambler but you’ll
be the loser if you miss a LADY
TAKES A CHANCE—with Jean
Arthur and John Wayne. Jean, a
New York clerk, tours the West,
meets adventure and—you guess!
Or better still see the movie, June
21st in the Cafeteria, plus select
ed short subjects.
A picture every American
should see! A drama of Civil War
days with thrills and a glorious
love story, is HEARTS IN BOND
AGE starring James Dunn and
Mae Clark. We’ll see comedies and
short features. See you there,
June 28th.
