So, ladies, get set for that next event, and if we can get enough of you ladies to attend, we will be able to make it a mixed doubles event, which should certainly pro vide plenty of competition and lots of fun. Should you members have any ideas as to what you would like in the way of athletic activities for the Five Year Service Club, please make it known at our next REG ULAR meeting. Beguiling Date Dress Is Recommended Red Cross Drive , ms \ To capture that “little girl” look, combine a high, rounded neck line with organdy ruffling, soft shoulders that continue gracefully into cap sleeves, and a skirt of soft folds. Easy to make at home, this beguiling dress would be lovely in beige, icy blue, misty green or pale yellow. The simple seams and easy fitting of this style make it a “natural” for beginner-sewers. Five-Year Service Club News $25 BOND OFFERED FOR BEST EMBLEM FOR CLUB highest By RICIIARD LANDECK In order to get this bond you do not have to save any soap wrap pers or box tops. In fact, there is no work to this at all. The idea is simple. Get a piece of Ecusta Fine Flax writing paper, or any other paper will do, and a pencil—sit down in your quiet home, and in your spare time, just draw, sketch, or outline legibly, a design for a banner or plaque that you think will be most suitable for the Five- Year Service club. In short, some thing that is significant of the Five-Year Service dub. An em blem that will bring to the mind of any person seeing it, that it is the Five-Year Service club emblem. You may send in as many designs as you wish, just as long as each one differs from the other in some respect. The contest is open to all em ployees of the entire plant, ex cept the president and the board of directors of the Five-Year Ser vice club. The board of directors will be the final judges for the best design. So come on and get busy, folks. An idea, a few well- placed lines on a piece of paper, and a few moments of work will get you a Twenty-Five Dollar Vic tory bond award as the sole prize. Remember, the design must be original. Get to it now and swamp the judges with many good ideas for a design. Sign your name to your entries and just drop them in the special box at .the GATE HOUSE, where Buck McCall and his boys will watch over them. Last month, they sure did a swell job watching the bean jar. So from now until April 15, 1946, midnight, we will let them guess how many suggestions there are in the box. The deadline for the contest is midnight, April 15, 1946. The board of directors’ decision will be made as soon after that data as possible. Their decision, we re peat, will be final. Neatness, of course, is an essential, as well as originality. Art, skill or precision will not be considered in the judging. Pen or pencil, a sheet of paper, a few minutes of your time and a good idea are all that are needed. This month and to date, the Five-Year club has 551 members.
