Answers:
1. They certainly do. It gives them a chance to behave as they
often secretly wish to, without being reprimanded by society.
Remembej- that adults are merely grown-up children, and that
people do not change much, even though the years may alter
their appearance.
2. No. The nerve receptors that react to extreme cold are the
«amA ones that are seinsitive to extreme heat We generally
can tell which stimulus is causing the pain, however, by addi
tional factors, such as sight, hearing and smeU.
3. Yes. Daydreaming is a fonn of wish-fulfilling. It is an escape
mechanism which allows us to do and be the things we would
like. However, excessive daydreaming is not a good habit.
4. No. However, you should appear to be perfectly natural. The
big difference is that if we always did that which we left like
doing, irrespective of experience and training, it wouldn’t be
long before many of us were in jail for murder, etc.
5. No. There is no scientific basis for the belief that if you look at
a person long enough he will finally “feel” it and turn around.
If you are behind someone, however, he is bound to hear you
OF ?ee y?ur shadow and realize swneona i* behind himt
