News Comments It is very pleasing to note so many people wearing their Five- Year Service club pins, with the number of pins steadily increas ing, 650 to date. To be recognized for faithful service Is indeed grati fying and something we are and should be proud of. Why not scratch your name on the back of your pin so in case it is lost and found it can be returned to its rightful owner. Within the next two months our Five-Year Service club will celebrate its second anniversary. Just keep a close watch and you will find our banner displayed to that effect in the cafeteria. Everyone had r hig Fourth of July. As usual picnic at Sap phire was the tal': of the town and the largest attraction in this sec tion. To those who planned and worked so hard at the picnic, our hats are off. Here’s looking for ward to next year.' Let us all take advantage of Camp Sapphire facilities. The lake at Sapphire looks very cool and tempting on these hot summer days. A game of tennis or shuf- fleboard provides good exercise, also a game of horseshoes pro vide^ much fun and laughter, a canoe ride can be very soothing on a warm day, and at Sapphire there is plenty of space in which to lounge around, take a sun baath or just loaf. Also, there are the mer ry-go-round and swings for the kiddies. Plenty of cooking facili ties for preparing dinner or sup per. Nothing could be better than to spend a day at Sapphire, fellow members of the Five-Year Service club.—By Dick Landeck, Hank Newbury and John Goolsby, Re porters. Ectista Tennis Team Won Two Matches Recently During the month of July, our tennis team played good tennis to defeat their opponents from the Aston Park Club of Asheville and the Enka Lake Club of Enka. The Aston Park match was played in Asheville and the score was 6-3. Playing host to the Enka Lake Club team at Camp Sapphire on Sunday, July 13th., our boys came out on the big end of the score, 7-1.
