We certainly miss Mr. Fisher
who has recently had the misfor
tune of breaking several ribs. All
of us are looking forward to the
time when he can come back to
work with us.
Mr. Vannah spent his vacation
at Friendship, Maine again this
year. Friendship is his home town
and he said he really enjoyed his
visit there this year.
Gee, I bet Lillie will come to
work one of these days with a blis
tered back, as she is spending a
few days at Fort Pierce, Fla. Ev
eryone hopes she will bring all of
us a souvenir.
I really don’t know anything to
say about Dr. Ray and Jack; but
since their youngsters a.re just
learning to talk, maybe we can get
the “low down” on those two fel
lows.
Congratulations, Dr. Whitney,
on the arrival of your little son,

Another month has rolled
around and it’s time to gossip
again.
Farmer is back at work after
spending a very enjoyable vaca
tion in Virginia.
We can’t seem to find out how
Jack B. broke some ribs, but glad
they’ll soon be O.K.
Roy H. has a vacation coming
up soon, and he says he’s “getting
nervous in the service.” We won
der why?
Robert Jennings has moved in
to his new home now. When are
we going to be invited to see it,
and have dinner?
John S. is on his vacaition and
a thirty days’ leave of absence,
going to Washington or Holly
wood, Calif.—we’re not sure
which.
Myrtle M. reports having a
swell time at the Pink Beds Fri
day night. She says string music
sounds wonderful up there.
Louise M. has moved to Pisgah
Forest and is now a neighor of
Bessie Cheek.
Wanda is making plans for her
vacation at Carolina Beach. Have
a swell time, but remember sun
burns are not fun.
We are sorry to hear that Myr
tle G.’s boy and mother are sick.
Hope they both will be well soon.
We want to welcome Jack B.
to our shift.
Edith, hurry up and get well
and back to work—we miss you.
Lawrence W. says he enjoyed
his vacation, hauling and helping

Doyle, when arc you going to
have another front seat put in
your car? Those girls get tired of
sitting on the floor.
Appless had a sad trip to Green
ville the other night. No wonder,
though,—a boy friend gone for
two years.
Russell M. seems to be well
pleased since John S. is gone, as
he doesn’t have so much compe
tition now.
Mike M. says he hopes how soon
he can get his car out of the
garage. This walking and going
to the movies is getting monoton
ous.

This fine string of fish was recently caught at Lake Sapphire. It includes two bass and
brim. One brim was over 10 inches long, one of the largest ever caught in this section. These
were caught by Mrs. R. F. Benncitt and Wayne Conn. Many Ecustans have already taken advantag®
of the limited fishing privileges and several have reported good catcher. .

ing their vacations. Iva Lee, Ruth
and Dovie all reported a wonder
ful time.
We all miss Ella and Mary. And
we hope their father will be bet
ter soon and they will be back at
work.

We’ll miss Ruth, Donna and Bob
by. But they say they just have

Bradley have gone off graveyard.
But I hear they are ready to come
back.
Leona seems very happy about
something. Could it be because
that certain guy has a new Ply
mouth and is coming to Brevard
