Neither of the Mary Jane McCalls knew she had a "partner” employed here. 'DOUBLE IDENTITY' It’s a case of "double iden tity” with many folks here at Ecusta. A glance through the personnel records reveals that fact that no less than 22 couples have the same name. Some are kin; some are no relation whatsoever; others do not go by the names listed be low, but rather are known by the other half of their name or known by nicknames. Anyhow, it’s interesting to see how many we have and it was also inter esting to find out that some did not know that there was any one else employed here with the same name as theirs. Some are sisters-in-law, while others are as close kin as cousins. Those in the "double identi ty” group and their departments are Bessie Cheek, Cafeteria and Finishing; Ralph Smith, both in Inspection; Carl Bryson, Main tenance and Machine Room; Anne Whitaker, Machine Book let and Fine Paper; Robert Mer rill, Cleaner Crew and Main tenance; Samuel King, Machine Room and Refining; Thomas Smith, Main Office TELEPHONE CONVERSATION Out of the numerous calls which come to the Personnel Of fice, the one related below took the prize during the last month. "I want to speak to my dad dy”, the child’s voice at the other end of the line requested. Could I take a message or help you in any other way?” the clerk in the Personnel Office an swered. "Well, I can’t find the dog food and I don’t know what to feed my puppy,” the little voice continued. Realizing that she was speak ing to a child, the clerk suggest ed that she feed the puppy some milk. "That’s what I’ll do. We al ways do that when we can’t find the dog food . . . and I’ll put some corn bread in it, too. Thank you very much.” And she hung up.
