ON THE COVER
We are coming into the rainy
season of the year—if such a sea
son can be designated for Tran
sylvania County, which has an
average rainfall of 68 inches. It
is the season when we realize that
a raincoat is a necessary item in
our wardrobe; a season when we
can see young boys running around
without hats or coats—and we
wonder how they keep from get
ting pneumonia. But one thing is
certain. The young girls will be
going to school decked out in their
galoshes, raincoats, and umbrellas.
One of these young ladies will
be Olivia Gail King, shown on the
cover, six year old daughter of
Luther King of the Machine Room.
